Coupons Anyone?

So Amber came down last weekend and it was a blast!  We just had a "Lost" night on the Friday seeing as it was just the two of us, why not.  Saturday was coupon day.  We went to the Glenbow Museum downtown and used a coupon, I liked Mineral World!  We also seen the travelling ehibit there which consisted of some distusting fat people art like this...

How this is considered art, I'll never know.

Then we headed over to spoon me for some "half spoons" and half spoons indeed they were.  "If you love me spoon me!"

Then it was all about appetizers, we had so many awesome appetizers later that night, and our drink club drink sponsored by Amber was a Nog-a-lizer, like a Paralizer but with egg nog.  That got us into the festive spirit.

Sunday was brunch ...or more like whatever meal comes in between Lunch and Supper, at my parents, then Amber had to go, then some Family Fued Kas and Evan. Had to run off to a soccer game after that, so talk about a jam-packed weekend.  Well, I had to get in as many fun things as possible before I start back up at the pool this Saturday and last weekend was my last free weekend.  Oh, so school update...so far so good...I got an A- on each of my last exams...I wasn't too thrilled but an "A" is still an "A".

Yesterday I started on Christmas Cards, I'm about half way though, I want to get a nice head start on them because they would probably be neglected after I fill out 50 swimming report cards, just wont feel the need to do any more cards!!  So the best couple of months are coming up because they are packed with Christmas Parties!!  We have 3 to go to this year, and the pool one is the one I'm most excited for because you can win stuff!  Not really sure what the Christmas schedule is going to be like this year...but I do know that it's almost time for Chocolate Calandars!!

Time

The past weekend was excellent, so much to do, so many friends to share it with.  I had a great weekend, other than the fact I felt distant from you... I miss you.  Between school, work, soccer, friends, and regular chores, we haven't seen a lot of eachother somehow.  Maybe taking on this much is a little over my head, I know it's hard for us now but it will be worth it for our future.  I am pretty sure you think the same way as I do, and I'm so lucky to have your support.  Anywho, I think we should set some time aside for us yet again...it is greatly needed.  So I may just have a special plan in mind for us, hopefully it can stay a surprise.  I need to know what you are doing December 11th first.

On another note, I'm going to find out what I should do about school today, maybe make an appointment with a guidance councellor at MRU because I don't really know how to go about this sort of thing, plus I want them to start assesing my other courses ASAP so I don't have to wait around forever to find out what transfers.  I'm beginning to completely dread thinking about February to April because my workload may be an overload.

"No one said it would be easy, they just said it would be worth it."

A Possible Rant

So much for all of my plans to clean and scrapbook.  Last night I thought it would be nice to have a glass of wine while I was cooking, then I wanted to look at old photo albums after I was done cooking, and have some more wine, and then two bottles later I had the stereo cranked up and was singing along to Men At Work....haha needless to say I wrote that night off haha.  Oopps... I guess Sheldon shouldn't go out of town anymore haha.  Oh the plus side I do get to cross something off my project zero list, drink a whole bottle of wine to myself...done.  Haha.  Oh, I tried on my Halloween costume, looked pretty "zombie-ish" should be good.

So this picture pretty much sums up my night.  Oooo Desmond so dreamy.

So, here is the rant part.  You know a friendship is truely ended when not only does he move to Lethbridge without telling me, but also changes his phone number without telling me.  What is that about...apparently 4 years of friendship hasn't been too important to him this past year or so.... conveniently about the same time he got this new girlfriend too.  Wow, just because you have a relationship now doesn't mean you can't be friends with another girl anymore.  Either it's you making these decisions or her.  And I hope it's you because the other way around is just pathetic.  I had fun being your temporary friend, but if this doesn't work out...like the last two....I would say don't come crawling back to me but that's not true.  I would want to be your friend again but you better do some serious appologizing because I'm always won over too easy and if you do care about my friendship you wont want to hurt me like that again.  I'm not letting this happen again, do you know how depressing it was to have your best friend completely disown you, I didn't have any other friends to run to, and it's not only me you've done this to it's all of us, all of your friends.  A couple of friends you use to be so close with just got married and you didn't even go to their wedding.  What happened?  Yes, aren't I pathetic for blogging about this, but you changed your number so there's no callin ya, and I can't talk to you on Facebook because she's probably going to have some sort of imput on your response and I want to know what you think.  Sorry it couldn't have worked out better, I really did like her at first...until she sat in my bathroom texting you from 10 feet away about how you weren't paying attention to her when she was sitting right BESIDE you all night long.  Please...no I didn't even care then, but I do now.  I give everyone a second chance, but no I don't blame her for anything.  She's just doing everything a normal girlfriend would do, I can't blame her.  I blame you.  All I needed was some closure, I guess you changing your phone number was it.  I'm actually shocked you would let our friendship end this way.  There is no need to say goodbye to somebody who just runs away.  I'm done.  Your move.

Day One of Six

This is Mary II...my Mazda Tribute

I'm excited to camp with it.  Took it out to Saskatchewan for Thanksgiving, long haul but good ride!

So registration for school upgrading (Math) isn't open until January...and it starts in February.  I better enjoy free evenings (well at least tues/thurs) while I have them because starting February it's Mon-Thurs nights school, Mon-Fri work at Husky (day), Saturday work at pool, Sunday...only free day....sometimes soccer.  It's going to be busy, but I really hope those months go fast because Jan-Mar are the most boring months of the year....I'm sure it's 80% because of the weather!

So the apartment is all "spooky" ready for Halloween, although I carved my pumpkin too early this year.  I made him doing a little peace sign with his hand but now it looks more like a claw haha, it's all sunken in and warped...so I put him outside and haven't looked at him for a week.  Maybe I should do that.  This weekend will be pretty slack, I've got some shopping and a lunch planned with my Mom & sister, a Halloween shin-dig to go to Saturday night (thanks Kat & Sean)!  I'm going as a ZOMBIE!  I'm excited for all the make-up and BLOOD!

Tonight will consist of housework (blech), and a couple beers (yay), with fun music (yehaw!).... Actually, with having some spare time on my hands this weekend I might actually be able to finally make a couple scrap book pages....I'm about....two years behind by now!  All the pictures I've been scrap booking are from 2008....I think I have 2007 New Years to do still.  I need to make a "Julie List."  She has all the ideas or events to scrapbook, crosses them off as she does them.  I just look at the pictures I have and decide what I feel like scrapbooking....I should probably do like 5 pages to catch up too.  Ohhhh man!

My Little Intro

So I've been checking out other people's blogs and everyone has an intro ordeal.... sooo here it is.  I made my name "Beans" because that is what my sister used to call me when she was a small little thing and couldn't say "Brittany" although it usually came out as "Beanie".

Here are some pictures of my digs!

Some of the Pictures wont rotate...????

Daffodils sitting on the counter top

IKEA Cacti!!  The only plants we haven't managed to kill...yet.

My Fish Desmond!  I named him that because that is my favorite character on Lost.

Had to get a picture of the daffodils when they opened!

So anyways, that is the apartment....which is one of the newest things in my life.  Next to that would be the Mazda Tribute which I got earlier this month after my tragic accident to Mary I, meet Mary II (again, Julie named this one too!)...ok I may have hit my picture limit....so you'll see that later.

How's that for an intro?

Six and Six

So I have finished my first exam in Geophysics for Seismic Principles, I think I did well for the most part but am still waiting on the grades to come back...it was 40% of our final mark so it better be good!  An entire written exam to-boot, talk about unfair!  I have no doubts though, I felt really good writting it and only got stuck once, which is a massive improvement for me.  I have gotten much better at studying since high school and college which really helps when it comes to big exams like that!  Plus the work is much more interesting...wow when I was a kid I would never think I would say geophysics is "interesting."  Actually it's really the geology I love.  I'm really excited to start the degree in the fall and I hope that at least 5 of my classes from my SAIT certificates are transferrable, that would really cut down my time.  I'm not looking forward to taking "general studies" courses.  I don't need them, sure they are fine and dandy for full time students when their prime focus is on school, but I don't have time for extra "option classes."  I already know what I want to "be when I grow up" so let me do it the fast way why dontcha!?!

Another exciting thing that recently happened is my friend Becky, or Rebecca as she likes it, Reb as I like it...moved back from Kelowna.  She lives in Airdrie now which is a much shorter drive!  We've been spending as much time together as we can and both of our efforts are really working for us to see eachother!  She is such a blast and my spirits are lifted now that she is back!!!  She also just got a new job so congrats to her on that!  We're going to a movie with her work people next weekend, popcorn and pop plus the movie for five bucks!  It's in the morning too, which is weird because popcorn and pop isn't the best breakfast!!

Well Halloween is coming up and I am one of the few women in the world who is being a costume without the word "slutty" in front of it.  I'm going as a zombie this year with all the make-up and blood!!  It should be pretty good!!

Learning

I think I'm finally actually learning how this blog thing works!

GEO-WHAT!?

I've officially taken my first step towards a Bachelor Degree in Science - Geology.  Yup, I've finally decided what I want to be when I grow up, it's going to take a lot of time and effort but it will be worth it in the end.  I'm going to need a Math Buddy!  Now the wait is on....first get this Geophysics finished....then attempt to do Math and Geophysics at the same time, then start the degree September 2011 possibly...part time, so this will be a long haul.  I guess I'm looking forward to starting it and getting some classes crossed off the list.  Not to mention trying to keep up with work and soccer....maybe I will be saying goodbye to the pool sooner than I thought.  Well either way creating this blog was a bad idea since I'm wasting time on here and should be studying for my final exam in seismic principles tonight!!

Unsure

I now remember why I deleted my last blog....I can never find anything to write about.  I usually do all my ranting on Facebook.

Tomorrow is my first final exam for the geophysics course I'm taking at SAIT.  I'm not scared.  I think I will do well.  My current concern is my busy schedule...am I taking on too much?  Naw.  I know I can work through it all.  I have a really great guy in my life that supports me through 100% and am so greatful for that.  I'm worried I may have to give up the pool soon.  My school schedule is beginning to take over my life.  Is it all worth it?  Let's hope so.

I really miss a lot of my cousins right now.  It's been a while since I've seen a lot of them...the Alberta ones anyways.

I've started physiotheropy for my ankle, which I had a small break in last year...possibly a bone chip, and sprained it at my last soccer practice, still recovering from that!

Well I'm not very good at explaining my life on here, I do that with Amber :)

Some Excellent Points About Adult Life...

ADULT TRUTHS

8. Obituaries would be a lot more interesting if they told you how the person
died.
9. I can't remember the last time I wasn't at least kind of tired.
10. Bad decisions make good stories.
11. You never know when it will strike, but there comes a moment at work when
you know that you just aren't going to do anything productive for the rest of
the day.
12. Can we all just agree to ignore whatever comes after Blue Ray? I don't want

13. I'm always slightly terrified when I exit out of Word and it asks me if I
want to save any changes to my ten-page technical report that I swear I did not
make any changes to.
14. I keep some people's phone numbers in my phone just so I know not to answer

18. I have a hard time deciphering the fine line between boredom and
hunger.
19. How many times is it appropriate to say "What?" before you just nod and
smile because you still didn't hear or understand a word they said?
20. I love the sense of camaraderie when an entire line of cars team up to
prevent a jerk from cutting in at the front. Stay strong, brothers and sisters!
21. Shirts get dirty. Underwear gets dirty. Pants? Pants never get dirty, and
you can wear them forever.
22. Sometimes I'll look down at my watch 3 consecutive times and still not know
what time it is.
23. Even under ideal conditions people have trouble locating their car keys in
a pocket, finding their cell phone, and Pinning the Tail on the Donkey - but I'd
bet everyone can find and push the snooze button from 3 feet away,in about 1.7
seconds,eyes closed,first time,every time.
24. The first testicular guard, the "Cup," was used in Hockey in 1874 and the
first helmet was used in 1974. That means it only took 100 years for men to
realize that their brain is also important.

I'm totally guilty of 22, 13 is hilarious - that ALWAYS happens to me.  I completely agree with and support 15, what has that not been invented yet!?!?!?  And I just love 21, absolutely hilarious!!

Project Zero

Creating a blog was on my project zero list!!!
This blog is primarily created for ranting.
Today I have nothing to rant about.

Welcome to my blog.
